connecting sky freesat box to dish!?
Ok i have full sky package downstairs that replaced my free sat box. Now, i want to put the spare free sat box upstairs. When the sky people came they replaced the thing on the dish to hold 4 so that isn't a problem.
My question is what wire do i need to run from the dish to the box and where to get it? This maybe simple but i am getting a little confused due to contradicting opinions on the web.
You don't connect your dish to the freesat...it's NOT necessary to run it that way, unless you have an OLD TV set with only ONE RF connection....
If you have dual RF inputs and both boxes can operate in the LO VHF channels, you set both to channels 3 or 4 and just use the ANT switch on your remote control....
Otherwise on the 1 input setup, you have to connect the RFout of the Skybox to the RF in on the Freesat, THEN always keep the Freesat box turned on all the way...and output both boxes to the TV set as the same output channel like 3 or 4.
