Designing The Perfect Male Cable Channel
Are you interested in seeing the perfect cable TV channel for men? Although this may be impossible, it can be dreamed. This will cost no money and not get you into trouble. There can be some simple improvements that may increase viewership dramatically. Sit back and think about what might be.
Most people will agree that television commercial time seems excessive. Who wishes to be interrupted every five minutes, for six minutes of ads? It puts a strain on watching a good football game, for example. Sometimes ads are necessary to pay the bills. But they should be closely monitored. It is not necessary to have ads pertaining to wedding bands for men. Everything has its place and time. This may not be the best place for it.
Thirty seconds is the longest that any TV commercial break should last. The average male attention span is similar to that. When a man sits through endless commercials, he becomes numb. He cannot enjoy the show he is watching. He may forget much about the show, also.
Once a day, there can be a five minute commercial break. This will allow for distractions like the Hoover Windtunnel bagged vacuum. Someone should be able to vacuum the living room in that five minute time period. On weekends, there can also be a three or four minute break between shows. This will allow for personal needs to be taken care of. Of course, if the channel can be paused, it would be even better.
There should be a restriction on many sports programs. Golf is not necessary. There is already a channel that deals exclusively with that. There is sound reason for this action. It is a good sport to participate in. However, many people find it extremely boring to watch. All of the poker shows should be played, one time per day. It is slowly reaching a saturation point. Main programming should only be major sports shows. This includes boxing and MMA. Old games are fine, too. The average make attention span is not long. These games will seem like new.
Movies should be carefully screened. Spy movies and movies about Wars on other planets have been done to death. For some reason, programmers think that all men love those shows. They are OK, but marathons of them should be banned. Shows that feature porn should not be allowed either. It is too easy for young people to access cable channels.
Conclusion
There are ways to design the perfect cable channel for adult males. Simple things like restricting commercial time and boring programming would go a long ways. This may give males time to curl up on the couch, under some blankets, and enjoy television. This is only opinion and may never come to pass. However, dreams have been known to come true, occasionally.
