3 Simple Tips On Buying A FTA Satellite Receiver
For many people buying their first FTA HD receiver is a very frustrating experience. First, there are a ton of models and brands to pick from, then a lot of people say FTA stinks and that you should just stay with a service such as Dish network.
How are we to cut through all the noise and choose a HD receiver that is good?
Here are my three very best tips that I use whenever I’m buying tech stuff. Especially tech stuff that I don’t really understand or where there are a lot of different opinions.
Tip #1 – Always Check Online Reviews
This is the single best way to prevent disappointments when buying tech gear. I usually go to Amazon.com and read the reviews even if I don’t indent to buy from them.
I always read the positive and the negative ones and then decide for myself which gadget is right for me.
Tip #2 – Buy Three, Return Two

I'm looking to setup FTA Dish with HD receiver, What would I need to get in order to pick up from stations around the world. As in hardware,LBNs and so on, What size dish would I need
setting up a dish depends on were you are in the world .I use www.satelitte.co.uk .what your looking for is he footprint you can just google this type in footprint and your area and it will give you maps of your area and the satellites hitting it. if your in a good spot the smaller the dish and so on . if your in england and are just after fta stuff bbc itv ect... you can use a mini dish(sky dish) and get those channels from 28.2 degrees east of astra ,you can also buy cheap sat finder to set you up .also remember if you are getting a recordable box you will need a quad lnb if its not a single lnb will do . recordable box's have two wires going to the box one to record one to watch .hope this helped
